For more than a century, our nation has been inspired to preserve our national heritage — from the Statue of Liberty to Rocky Mountain National Park. This conservation ethic, which encapsulates our roots, values, and history as Americans, has inspired great leaders, from Theodore Roosevelt to Barack Obama, to protect sites that link us to our past as well as inform our national character.
