Nina is Diné (Navajo) from Lupton, Arizona. She is of the Black-streaked Wood People Clan, born for the Two-Who-Came to the Water Clan. She earned a bachelor’s degree in American Indian studies from Arizona State University in Tempe, Arizona and a bachelor’s degree in English from Fort Lewis College in Durango, Colorado. This fall she will be in her second year at the University of New Mexico School of Law in Albuquerque, New Mexico, as a Navajo Nation legal fellow. Nina enjoys family get-togethers, thought-provoking films, and long, meditative walks in nature with her dogs.
