Jaycee was born, raised, and currently resides in Utah, where she is finishing a master's degree in ecology with a specialization in forest ecosystems. Before pursuing her master's, she received a bachelor's in biology with a minor in chemistry from the University of Utah. She loves learning about the natural world and is eager to help protect it. As the North Rim Ranches intern, Jaycee will study how climate change and cattle grazing practices impact vegetation in northern Arizona, which can help inform land management decisions. Additionally, she looks forward to learning about Indigenous land stewardship and multiple-use of public lands through research and conversation with diverse partners.
