Eric is inspired to join the Grand Canyon Trust in safeguarding the wonders of the Grand Canyon while advocating for the rights of its Native peoples. He is a veteran fundraiser with two decades of campaigns in higher education, climate action, economic empowerment, community advocacy, and health care. After living in Chicago most of his life, Eric moved West in 2019 to lead the University of Colorado’s case for climate action, creating a partnership with the United Nations Human Rights and launching the campus-wide Mission Zero fund to empower students and faculty for sustainability innovations. He holds a bachelor’s degree from Northwestern University and a master’s degree from the Lutheran School of Theology at Chicago. Eric lives in Colorado with his wife Susan and daughter Charlotte.
