Oak Grove Campground

Sleep on the banks of the Colorado River at Oak Grove Campground outside of Moab, Utah

Oak Grove Campground sits on the banks of the Colorado River, next to UT 128. This small campground is not suitable for large trailers, and 4 of the 7 sites are walk-in campsites. Gambel oak, rubber rabbitbrush, and tamarisk trees shade the sites while also offering privacy.

Like the other riverside campgrounds on UT 128, sites at Oak Grove are first-come, first-served. Campgrounds fill quickly during Moab’s peak season (April, May, October), so get there early.

Note: Oak Grove Campground has no water. You can fill your water jugs at Lions Park (intersection of Hwy 191 and UT 128) near the pedestrian bridge dedication plaque, or at Gearheads Outdoor Store in downtown Moab.

Directions

From the visitor center in Moab, Utah, drive north on Hwy 191/Main Street for about 2.5 miles. Turn right onto UT 128, and continue upcanyon for another 7 miles. Look for the Oak Grove BLM sign, and turn left into the campground.
