Lindsay grew up in Arkansas and moved to Flagstaff to be a firefighter in 2011. After a grueling fire season in 2011, she wanted to explore landscapes on the Southwest that weren’t in flames. She walked into the Trust office one day in late summer 2011 to ask for a job and landed an AmeriCorps Volunteer Coordinator position. Lindsay is passionate about public lands, water, and ecological conservation. She believes that vast expanses of healthy public land are necessary for the human soul and is excited to work to protect the natural world. She encourages everyone who works to protect the outdoors – ecologists, conservationists, advocates – to get outside as often as possible to remind themselves about what they’re working to protect. Lindsay is an outdoorswoman and musician, and her perfect Colorado Plateau day includes climbing in Indian Creek and harmonizing around the campfire with her mandolin.
