Lyrica was born in Flagstaff, Arizona but calls many places home, including her ancestral lands of western Guatemala. Raised in the Southwest with roots in other lands, she would like to advocate for environmental and climate justice through Indigenous and migrant justice lenses. As an Uplift Climate Fellow, she will also help Uplift in its transition into an autonomous, youth-led organization. Lyrica is further influenced and motivated by her love of ecosystems, non-human companionship, and both human and non-human landscapes. She is a graduate of Northern Arizona University with bachelor's degrees in political science and international affairs.
