Juan Jaramillo came to the Trust as a rising senior at Pomona College, where he majored in environmental analysis with a concentration in environmental justice. Throughout his time at Pomona, he was actively involved with the low-income community. In the summer of 2016, Juan was a part of the UC Santa Cruz Doris Duke Conservation Scholars Program, and in the summer of 2017, he was the outreach intern for the
Uplift Climate Conference. As an intern, he aspired to apply his knowledge from the classroom to his work with Uplift.
