Ana is a farm girl from southern Colorado. She spent her childhood muddy—chasing bugs, planting seeds, and climbing fences. Wanting to know more about the wild world around her, Ana got her B.S. at Stanford University, where she studied ecosystems and how humans interact with them. She served two AmeriCorps terms at the Trust working on the Youth Leadership Initiative from 2013-2015. She led trips and was a part of the leadership team for the Uplift Conservation Conference in 2015. She hopes this work is the beginning of a lifetime adventure in getting all young people outside, dirty, and caring about beautiful places like the Colorado Plateau. In line with her love of exploring, you’d most likely find Ana scampering down the Redwall Limestone in Marble Canyon, mimicking canyon wrens, and looking for tadpole shrimp in ephemeral pools.
