Amanda started her journey with the Trust as a volunteer in 2011. The beauty of Kane Ranch Headquarters blew her away, and she knew she had to return. In 2012 and 2013, Amanda worked in the Volunteer Program as an AmeriCorps service member. She spent the summer of 2013 working with volunteers on the North Rim Ranches tracking puma and other wildlife with cameras set up across the North Rim. She started a master’s program in environmental planning at the University of Arizona in 2015 and wants to use her education and experiences to inform better management for wildlife connectivity in the Southwest. If you went looking for Amanda on the Colorado Plateau, you’d most likely find her taking in views of Vermilion Cliffs, House Rock Valley, and the Grand Canyon from Marble Canyon Bridge or the Spencer Trail.
