Stay in the heart of Arches National Park at the Devils Garden Campground
The camping sites are scattered among the sandstone fins that make the Devils Garden area of Arches National Park such an unusual and scenic area.
Some of the sites are tucked up against the sandstone fins, while others are in more open areas that provide sweeping views of the surrounding country, including the La Sal Mountains.
Vegetation includes piñon pine, juniper, yucca, oak, and sand sage. Summer temperatures can be above 100 degrees, while winter temperatures can be below freezing.
Reservations
Camping in Arches is only allowed in the Devils Garden Campground or in the backcountry with a permit. The demand for campground sites is extremely heavy, and the park service recommends making reservations as early as possible. Reservations can be made up to 6 months before arrival and must be made at least 4 days before you arrive. If you don’t have a reservation, plan on camping outside the park. Between November 1 and February 28, 24 sites are available on a first-come, first-served basis.
