Birdwatch, fish, or hike at Dairy Springs Campground
Nestled in a dense forest of ponderosa pines and fir trees near Mormon Lake, Dairy Springs Campground places you at the center of northern Arizona recreation. Whether you choose to fish in Mormon Lake (seasonal – it’s sometimes dry), hike nearby trails, or birdwatch, you have plenty of opportunities to enjoy the outdoors.
Trailheads for the Ledges Trail, Dairy Springs Loop Trail, and Mormon Mountain Trail start at the campground and lead to scenic overlooks.
Advance reservations are accepted for half of the campsites, while the other half is first-come, first-served. Two group sites can accommodate 40 people each. If the campground is full, check the availability of the neighboring Double Springs Campground.
Mormon Lake Lodge, which offers horseback rides, various rentals, a restaurant, and country store, is a few miles down the road.
