Creek Pasture Campground

If the campground in Canyonlands National Park is full, try the Creek Pasture Campground in Indian Creek

Creek Pasture Campground, located off UT 211, is a large BLM campground with big cottonwood trees, great views, and lots of open space. Striking cliffs provide a nice backdrop to the northeast, and the broad Indian Creek corridor lies to the southeast.

The campground serves as a gateway to the Needles District of Canyonlands National Park. Only 7 miles from the entrance station and visitor center, it’s a great alternative to the park’s Needles Campground. With 32 sites that can accommodate up to 10 people each, Creek Pasture Campground is the perfect place to gather with friends, fellow rock climbers, and hikers. A group site on the north end of the campground can be reserved in advance.

Note: This is a dry campground, so you’ll need to bring all your water with you.

Directions

From the intersection of Hwy 191 and UT 211, head west on UT 211 for 27 miles towards Canyonlands National Park. Look for a BLM sign and turn right onto a dirt road. Continue a short ways up the road to the campground.
