Our goals for the “three forests” in southern Utah
The Grand Canyon Trust’s work focuses on the Dixie, Fishlake, and Manti-La Sal National Forests, which are located in southern Utah. We work to encourage forest management that:
-
Restores healthy populations of native species and the natural resilience of ecosystems
-
Gathers and uses objective, repeatable field data and other scientific information on previously neglected species and conditions on the forests
-
Welcomes the alternatives and field observations / measurements that diverse public members bring to forest decision-making
-
Takes particular care of water for the forests and future generations
